Aamir Khan plays gully cricket with kids, gets criticised for not wearing mask

Cricket is considered as a religion in India, where everyone loves to play the game – from 8 to 80. While the international series is going on in full swing, gully cricket too has been taking place and famous Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has joined hands recently. The superstar was seen in this avatar recently with kids. In a video shared by an account named ‘Viral Bhayani’ on Instagram, Khan can be seen hitting fours and sixes with ease while he was playing cricket with some kids on Thursday. The post was shared with the caption, “चौके पर चौका #aamirkhan आज Aaram Nagar के बच्चों के साथ”.However, many didn’t like the appearance of Aamir Khan without mask amid this crunch time of COVID-19 and television actor and former ‘Bigg Boss’ contestant Kishwer Merchantt commented, “None of them wearing a mask? How? Why?” But his fans backed him by stating, “People need to breathe while playing a sport …isn’t that common sense.”

“If they wear a mask while playing, they are going to suffer from shortness of breath. And anyways while playing they are quite far away from each other,” further added another one.

On the other hand, Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope earlier said that nobody is above the law and everyone should follow the rules of COVID-19 after celebs flouting protocols. Tope added, “Nobody is above law. Every person should adhere to the protocols laid down by the government. It is the duty of an ideal citizen to strictly follow rules and regulations in the current pandemic situation.”

As far as the international cricket of India is concerned, they have been playing a full-fledged series against Australia. While they lost the three-match One Day International series by 1-2, faced an opposite result in the three-match Twenty20 International series. In the four-match test series, Australia convincingly won the first one by 8 wickets, handed over India a humiliating defeat. However, India bounced back well and won the second one by the same margin.
