Amid this COVID-19 pandemic, Victoria Thomas opened the third location of her JourneyFit Gym, where she encourages people on their fitness journeys with in-person and online classes. Victoria Thomas inaugurated the gym’s third location, the first Black female-owned gym in Richardson on 3rd October 2020.

As a trainer, Victoria Thomas motivates people daily on their fitness routine with in-person and online classes due to the pandemic COVID-19. Still, it hasn’t been easy opening the third location amid the pandemic induced lockdown.

fit“We’ve been constructing on this project now since March, and there was a lot of pushback and a lot of disorganization based on the city being shut down and them furloughing employees Victoria Thomas said.”

While initiating the new gym construction, she still had to pay full rent for the venue while incurring new expenses to make working as safe as possible for patrons and employees, which include touchless scanners, disposable wipes, sanitation, and paper towels.

Victoria Thomas said that JourneyFit ran out of money and had one of their locations damaged due to Dallas’s protests.
