Sarfaraz Khan is a young right-handed attacking batsman. He plays for Uttar Pradesh in domestic tournaments. He played for the India Under-19 Cricket team in the 2014 and 2016 Under 19 World Cup.
Sarfaraz Khan rose to prominence and gained huge popularity when he played along with Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle, and AB De Villiers for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League. Currently, he plays for the KL Rahul Kings XI Punjab.

Sarfaraz Khan made 439 runs in a Harris Shield match and broke the record of Sachin Tendulkar for the highest score in Mumbai’s Inter-school tournament.
In the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament final match for Mumbai against Baroda, his team needed 3 runs of the last ball, and Sarfaraz Khan hit a scooped six to win that match.
In July 2015, it was announced that Sarfaraz will join Uttar Pradesh ahead of the 2015-16 domestic season as his father hails from Azamgarh.
He scored an impressive 101 from 66 balls for India in an Under-19 tournament against South Africa in 2013. Sarfaraz was Man of the Mach in a U-19 World Cup match against Pakistan where he scored 74 runs and took one wicket.
He holds the record for the most 50s in a U-19 World Cup history with 7 half-centuries.
Sarfaraz Khan was bought by the IPL team, Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2015 IPL auction for 50 lakhs. Sarfaraz became the youngest player to play in the IPL. He stole the show in an IPL 2015 match against Rajasthan Royals by scoring quick 45 runs off 21 balls in Bangalore.
In December 2018, he was bought by the Kings XI Punjab in the player auction for the 2019 Indian Premier League.
In the period between May 19, 2018, and March 25, 2019 — Sarfaraz kept his hunger alive through local tournaments such as Kanga League and DY Patil Tournament. Being in Kanga helped him stay in close proximity with his father-cum-coach, Naushad, who has been monitoring his progress. The senior Khan still plays the league in the ‘B’ division for Young Mohammedan.
Sarfaraz emerged as the top scorer in Kanga League ‘A’ Division representing Payyade Sports Club. He finished with 284 runs in four innings at an average of 71 with a strike rate of 94.04.
“Sarfaraz wanted to come back and play for Mumbai, so he had to follow the rules of the cooling-off period. Most of the games in DY Patil Tournament were coming live on Facebook and YouTube. I have never missed him in action. At times, if I thought he needed me, I would go to the venue,” Naushad told Sportstar.
