The Sri Lanka International Championship, organized by the School Games and Activity Development Foundation (SGADF), was more than a sporting event—it was a moment of pride for India. This international platform gave young Indian athletes a golden opportunity to compete beyond borders, and they rose to the occasion with courage and confidence. Thanks to the strong leadership of Mr. Shivam Thakur, the founder of SGADF, these students got the opportunity to experience global exposure with full support—ranging from training, uniforms, to travel and accommodation. The event wasn’t just about winning medals; it was about building confidence, cultural exchange, and spreading the message of unity through sports. With players participating in kabaddi, athletics, yoga, and more, Team India showcased remarkable talent. Backed by SGADF’s support system—which included mentorship, training, uniforms, and travel arrangements—students from even the most rural backgrounds stood tall on an international stage. For many, it was their first flight, first international match, and their first taste of global recognition. The Indian contingent returned with a bag full of medals, but more importantly, hearts full of dreams and belief. The event was a celebration of teamwork, discipline, and determination—values SGADF proudly upholds. Why is this championship special? Because it proves that with the right support, every child can become a champion. Who made it possible? Visionary leadership from SGADF, especially Mr. Shivam Thakur, who turned a vision into a real opportunity for hundreds. This event wasn't just about winning—it was about rising, learning, and inspiring. SGADF continues to pave the way for youth, one international stage at a time.
