What is the organizational structure of SGADF?

DATE

11 Jun 2025

The School Games and Activity Development Foundation (SGADF) follows a multi-tiered, decentralized organizational structure designed to operate efficiently at local, state, national, and international levels. This structure allows SGADF to reach thousands of youth and institutions across India and abroad while maintaining high standards and accountability.

At the top, SGADF has a National Governing Body led by the Founder and President Shivam Thakur, supported by Vice Presidents, Directors, and National Coordinators. These members are responsible for policy-making, international relations, funding, and strategic planning.

The national body is supported by State-Level Committees comprising State Presidents, Secretaries, and Event Coordinators. Each state committee governs district-level operations, aligning with SGADF’s calendar and objectives.

Further down, there are District Coordinators and Block-Level Officers who manage affiliations with schools, conduct trials, oversee championships, and promote community engagement.

SGADF also includes Departmental Heads for various functions—such as event management, international affairs, media and communication, youth club programs, and IT.

SGADF’s structure ensures that decision-making is collaborative, and representation comes from various levels of the sports ecosystem. It also allows for effective monitoring, talent scouting, and consistent execution of its mission to empower youth through sports.
