What are the objectives of SGADF?

The School Games and Activity Development Foundation (SGADF) is built upon a vision to make sports accessible, inclusive, and developmental for school and college-aged youth across India and beyond. SGADF’s core objective is to bridge the gap between grassroots talent and professional-level competition by providing opportunities for young athletes to participate in structured sports events, both nationally and internationally.

Some of the main objectives include:

  • Promotion of Sports in Education: Encouraging physical education and sports as an integral part of school and college curricula.

  • Talent Identification and Development: Scouting young sports talent and nurturing them through training, mentorship, and exposure.

  • Fair Play and Inclusivity: Providing equal opportunity to all, regardless of socio-economic background, gender, or location.

  • National and International Competitions: Organizing open and inclusive championships to boost motivation and career pathways in sports.

  • Affiliation and Standardization: Connecting schools, colleges, and academies to a unified sports platform for standardized events and recognition.

Additionally, SGADF supports cultural events, youth clubs, and health initiatives to ensure holistic development. By promoting a healthy, competitive spirit and lifelong fitness culture, SGADF aims to transform the landscape of school-level sports in India and create global opportunities for aspiring athletes.
