New Gym With Climbing Wall And Running Track To Open In Manchester

A new gym that features an indoor running track and a climbing wall is ready to open its doors for the users in Manchester city center upcoming year. The first GSquared Health Club facility will initiate in early 2021 at the Royal Exchange Arcade with an investment of £1.8 million.

Almost 40 new jobs are expected to be generated in Manchester city. Having a 12,000 sq ft space, the gym is ready to boast a 20m sled track, a performance room, free weight area, and resistance equipment, while an advance course will involve monkey bars, rope regains and cargo net, a full free-motion cable suite, and a climbing wall.

Andy McGlynn has originated the gym, the former Royal Marine Commando and founder and chief executive of GSquared Health Clubs, to build “a sanctuary to restore, re-energize and revive.

The gym has also been designed for the ‘Covid era,’ with capped memberships, temperature testing, a clean air system, and thorough cleaning and sanitizing of the site and equipment.

Mr. McGlynn said: “I believe that Manchester had to be the first location for the first GSquared Health Club, which I feel is estimated to be a gamechanger for the fitness industry. “We are shaking up the pattern to become one of the world’s leading health club brands.
