Does SGADF have regional branches or representatives?

DATE

11 Jun 2025

Yes, SGADF operates through a strong regional framework that includes state, district, and block-level branches across India. This decentralized structure enables SGADF to function efficiently across a wide geographical area and ensures local access to its programs, events, and registration services.

Each state has an official SGADF State Committee, headed by a State President and State Secretary. These leaders coordinate with the National Executive Body to implement events, membership drives, affiliations, and youth activities at the state level.

Below the state level, district-level committees manage outreach and organization within individual districts. These include District Secretaries, Coordinators, and Sports Development Officers who liaise with schools, colleges, and sports academies.

At the block and zonal levels, representatives support local schools and clubs in player registration, ID issuance, event participation, and certificate distribution. SGADF also appoints event coordinators and coaches to lead championships and camps in various locations.

In addition, SGADF has international representatives in countries such as Nepal, Dubai, and Kazakhstan, where Indo-international games are held.

These regional and global branches make SGADF one of India’s most accessible grassroots sports platforms, ensuring that no young athlete—urban or rural—is left behind in their journey toward sports excellence.
