Blink is thrilled to welcome its employees as well as members back to the gym, as they have carefully developed and executed the process of re-opening of the gyms.

The gyms at New York will operate at 33% capacity and it would be on a first-come, first-served basis as per the local guidelines. Blink will be ensuring that all members would be wearing masks that are acceptable, which would require covering their nose and mouth at all times while present at the gym. For those members who are not able to wear a mask for medical reasons, a face shield would have to be worn by them. The employees of Blink are expected to wear masks as well as gloves during their entire period at the gym. The temperatures of members and employees would be taken by the staff and they would have to provide confirmatory responses to a health screening questionnaire, as and when they enter the gym. In case, any employee or member has a temperature of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or higher temperature, they would be denied access to the gym. Access could also be denied to members and employees based on their responses to the health screening questionnaire.

Blink has undergone an up-gradation of air filters to MERV-13 or HEPA in order to ensure air filtration efficiency is better, since it is related to COVID-19. Moreover, the layouts of the gym have been reorganized in order to support local guidelines for social distancing. Some of the cardio machines would not be available for use to ensure that there is a gap of six feet between members. Water fountains and showers would also be unavailable temporarily to fulfill the local guidelines to be followed. Further details on protocols to be followed and details on safety are available in their new Blink Promise.

All memberships would be unfrozen after the gyms reopen. Billing will start from September 10th for Westchester, Long Island, Rochester and Syracuse, while New York City would start billing on September 15th. Blink is offering the option to refreeze the membership for members for a limited time period without any cost.
